Position Overview Whitney Sleep Diagnostics & Consultants is seeking a full-time Medical Billing & Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and following up on medical billing claims for our sleep clinic and related Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance reimbursement guidelines, coverage criteria, and billing procedures while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Process and manage medical billing claims accurately and efficiently Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility Review reimbursement guidelines and coverage requirements Follow up on outstanding claims and payment issues Maintain accurate patient and billing records within electronic health record systems Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies Collaborate with team members to support operational and patient care goals Qualifications, Required Skills, & Experience Experience working in insurance, medical billing, data processing, medical terminology, or a related field Knowledge of third-party billing and insurance requirements Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Strong computer proficiency and data-entry skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment Why Join Whitney Sleep Diagnostics & Consultants?
