Job Description

Green, Maxville and Associates is dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health services, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavior therapy for adults with developmental disabilities, and supportive advocacy within educational settings. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant combined with Medical Billing responsibilities to support our clinical and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, medical billing expertise, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment by ensuring efficient office management and accurate medical billing processes. Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and maintain organized medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Process medical claims accurately using CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG classifications to ensure timely reimbursement. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, assisting patients with billing inquiries and payment options. Prepare and submit detailed medical bills, ensuring compliance with coding standards such as ICD coding and medical terminology accuracy. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection procedures to optimize revenue cycle management. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with clinicians to ensure proper documentation of medical records and coding for billing purposes. Proficiency in medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG
classifications, and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing procedures, and insurance claim processes. Experience in medical office administration with excellent organizational skills. Ability to interpret and apply ICD coding standards accurately for various diagnoses and procedures. Demonstrated experience in medical collection efforts to recover outstanding payments effectively. Familiarity with healthcare regulations related to patient records confidentiality and billing compliance. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
