The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding systems, and healthcare claims management. As a key member of our administrative team, you will ensure accurate processing of medical invoices, claims, and payments while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient billing workflows in a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Review and process medical bills using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assign appropriate diagnosis codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) and procedure codes (CPT) in accordance with healthcare regulations and guidelines. Verify insurance coverage, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding payments to facilitate timely reimbursements. Maintain detailed records of billing transactions, medical records, and correspondence related to collections and claims. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies or issues promptly. Assist patients with billing inquiries, explaining charges clearly and providing exceptional customer service. Stay updated on healthcare claims management practices, health insurance policies, and coding regulations to ensure compliance. Skills Proficiency in medical coding including
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, and DRG classifications. Experience with medical billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management processes and health insurance procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in processing medical records and billing documentation. Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Understanding of medical terminology, medical collection procedures, and healthcare compliance standards. Pay:
