Medical Billing Specialist

Company Overview Special Parent Advocacy Group (SPAG) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to empowering parents in the realm of special education. Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Special Parent Advocacy Group. This role is essential in managing our financial transactions and ensuring accurate billing processes, directly contributing to our mission of supporting families with children who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities Entering weekly and monthly billing for all clients Printing and writing up billing entries as needed Utilize financial software to track billing information and generate reports. Collaborate with team members to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries. Requirements Proven experience in keying and billing entries. Experience with Medical billing coding ex. CPT and ICD-9 Familiarity with corporate accounting principles is preferred. Proficient in using word, excel, outlook, adobe, and internet explorer Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently. Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and clients. Minimum 2 years medical billing experience.
