Pay:
$20/hour

4-Month Contract-to-Hire PeopleShare is currently hiring a Medical Collections Specialist for a well-established company with over 25 years of success in the medical collections industry. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow a long-term career in medical billing or collections. Full training is provided to support your success from day one. What You'll Do Manage and follow up on outstanding patient accounts to ensure timely collections Communicate with patients via phone, email, and mail regarding past-due balances and payment arrangements Build and maintain positive, professional relationships while showing empathy and understanding Review and resolve payer denials and billing discrepancies accurately and efficiently Document all account activity and communications within the billing system Collaborate with internal billing and customer service teams to ensure account accuracy Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Meet or exceed daily and monthly collection goals What We're Looking For 1-2 years of collections experience (first- or third-party) Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work with diverse individuals and resolve payment-related concerns Knowledge of medical billing terminology (co-pays, deductibles, etc.) is a plus Experience reviewing and resolving payer denials preferred High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through High school diploma or equivalent required Compensation & Growth $20/hour during contract period Upon permanent hire: eligibility for commission and bonuses, with first-year earning potential of $50,000-$60,000 Why Work With PeopleShare?
