Job Description

The Collections Clerk plans and carries out procedures to ensure collection of delinquent accounts based on contempt policies and selects necessary approaches to reach the goal of collecting. Accounting notes and defendant status are entered into our Common Pleas Case Management System (CPCMS), and payment plans are established. Interviews are conducted with defendants daily. This staff member assists with the efficient and effective operation of the Clerk of Courts office by assisting other employees and management. The Collections Officer assists the Chief Deputy and Clerk of Court as required/directed. Work includes interaction with employees within the Clerk of Courts Office, Courts, Magisterial District Judges, District Attorney's Office, Adult Probation and Parole Office, Victim/Witness Office, Sheriff's Department, Collection Agency, Prison, Department of Corrections, Immigration, and others with regard to the processing, assessing and collecting of the financials of criminal court cases. Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent Two years of experience in business/ administration, accounting, collections, or related filed is preferred.

Status :
Full Time / 37.5 hrs per week, benefit eligible
Compensation:
$19.15 per hour Job open until filled. The County of Adams offers an excellent benefit packing including low cost medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans.
