Job Description
Job Summary DWC Transportation (DWC Logistics LLC) is a North America‑wide freight broker and logistics provider specializing in metals, minerals, and other industrial products, offering LTL/FTL trucking, container drayage, and specialized freight solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage billing processes, ensure accurate data entry, and facilitate seamless communication with clients and internal departments. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute to the efficiency of our financial operations, supporting our commitment to excellent customer service and operational excellence. Duties Review bills of lading, delivery receipts, work orders, rate sheets, contracts, and other supporting documentation to process carrier invoices for payment Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and within established billing schedules. Verify freight charges, storage fees, handling charges, accessorial fees, fuel surcharges, detention, and other applicable services Confirm that billing rates and customer-specific requirements are applied correctly Identify missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with operations personnel Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and customer questions Process billing adjustments, credits, and rebills when necessary and properly authorized Maintain accurate customer billing records and supporting documentation Submit invoices through Ascend, email, or other required methods Monitor unbilled activity and follow up to ensure completed services are invoiced promptly Assist with month-end billing and accounting close activities Qualifications Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), spreadsheets, and productivity software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette and professional demeanor. Knowledge of office equipment such as multi-line phone systems and basic technical proficiency in computer literacy.
