Job Description

Full Time Day Shift $25-$27/hour The Resident Billing Specialist provides accurate and timely billing services to residents and their responsible parties. Services provided must adhere to all applicable compliance and HIPPA related policies and practices. This role is also responsible for assisting with various Resident Billing functions, including the monthly revenue cycle, collection of account balances, managing the Medical Assistance Application process, filing and other general office duties. This position is also responsible for responding timely to resident inquiries.
Qualifications:
Must possess excellent written and oral communication Able to provide excellent customer service Prior experience performing general office tasks preferred Must be able to follow instructions as provided by supervisor Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel preferred Limited travel may be required
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Assists with the monitoring of accounts receivable aging reports on a daily/weekly basis. Assists with the identification of accounts that require collection efforts and initiates appropriate collection efforts. Assists the Resident Billing Coordinator with functions such as, verification and input of census-related information and ancillary charges into computerized accounting system. Responsible for general office functions, such as, filing, preparing and mailing letters and resident billing statements, making copies (electronic and/or paper) of documents. Assists with maintaining and monitoring computerized collection systems. Documents all collection related conversations and payments in the collection module. Provides collection-related assistance to Presbyterian Senior Living staff. May assist with the preparation of private pay and third party claims for submission. May assist with follow up procedures related to unpaid claims or balances. May assist with procedures related to the identification of accounts that require adjustments, corrections and/or write offs. May assist with the Advance Beneficiary Notices and NOMNC Tracking. May assist with or manage the completion of Medical Assistance applications, to include initial application, documentation gathering, renewals and appeals. Ensures proper documentation is entered into the appropriate areas. May assist with or manage the completion of Subsidized Care applications. Provide support to the Business Office Coordinator on projects or tasks as requested.
