Delta Dental of Arizona, the state's #1 dental and vision insurance company, is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Billing Representative I with excellent communication skills and a desire to work on a team. An ideal candidate has two years of billing or customer service experience and an associate's degree. About You You enjoy putting together the puzzle pieces and dotting the "I's" and crossing the "T's" comes naturally to you. Along with your strong attention to detail, you understand that putting the puzzle pieces together requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You enjoy problem-solving and guiding others who may not have the same skill set as you to help them get the answers they need. This position is a local hybrid remote position that is mostly remote with occasional in-office days. As a full-time position, the starting pay range is between $17.93 and $25.19 per hour. Essential Functions Responsible for billing phone calls for groups through the billing queue. Process any customer payments over the phone via CashPro and enter into Peoplesoft. Manually post payments from legacy bank accounts into Peoplesoft. Monitor and respond to inquiries through the billing inbox. Set up new groups and update current groups' bank account information for direct debit. Monitor Roosevelt Customer Service Toolkit for any requests send to billing. Perform account reconciliations as requested by customers. Run payment predictor daily to auto post payments. Process lockbox batches in Peoplesoft and assign payments to correct customer. Work with the individual billing team to move cash to the correct billing system. Update the deposit ledger daily with a summary of cash batches posted. Assist in weekly account maintenances for the direct debit process. Run the direct debit process weekly. Process direct debit rejection files and verify accounts are updated. Assist with Audit requests. Forward any premium payments received in office to the lockbox. Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
0-2 years' experience in billing or customer service Associate's degree or equivalent experience in billing or accounts receivable. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Knowledge of accounting analysis and reporting Knowledge of financial bookkeeping methods, practices and terminology Ability to apply and communicate policies, procedures and regulations relevant to assigned accounting functions Peoplesoft experience is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required About Us Delta Dental of Arizona's vision is simple: healthier lives for everyone.
