This role includes supervising the billing process using the Firm's billing software, client e-billing portals, supervising 3-4 billing staff, and collaborating with attorneys and clients to resolve billing issues. The Billing Supervisor will play a key role in optimizing the Firm's financial operations by maintaining a streamlined billing system and ensuring timely revenue collection. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise billing team members, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Support the accounting recruitment process and offer recommendations to the Billing Manager General Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the entire billing cycle, including client intake, fee agreements, bill preparation, and rate increases.
• Use the Firm's billing software to process and monitor billing activities, generate reports, and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure all invoices comply with firm policies and client-specific billing arrangements.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to address and resolve billing discrepancies or client inquiries.
• Assist with accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices to optimize cash flow.
• Maintain and update billing rates, client agreements, and discount structures within the Firm's billing software.
• Generate and analyze billing reports for management to track financial performance and trends.
• Assist in financial forecasting and budgeting by providing billing-related data and insights.
• Implement and maintain best practices to improve billing processes and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of legal billing & accounting. Experience with Coyote or other legal practice management systems and e-billing platforms. Prior experience managing a billing team in a law firm. Familiarity with legal industry billing regulations and compliance requirements. Strong organizational skills, record of acting with tact and diplomacy, and exceptional customer service orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers including counseling and discipling employees. Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook), particularly with Excel. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
