Medical Billing & Collections Specialist Louisville, KY (Onsite with Hybrid Opportunity) $18.00 - $18.50/hour Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Join a Growing Revenue Cycle Team! Are you an experienced medical billing professional who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and making a direct impact on revenue cycle operations? We are seeking a Medical Billing & Collections Specialist to join a collaborative healthcare administration team supporting billing, accounts receivable, and claims management functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with provider-side billing experience who is looking to grow their career in a structured, team-oriented environment with future hybrid flexibility. What You'll Do
+ Prepare, review, and process insurance claims accurately and efficiently
+ Submit electronic claims to a variety of insurance payers
+ Research denied or rejected claims, correct errors, and resubmit for payment
+ Review accounts receivable reports and perform follow-up on outstanding balances
+ Investigate and respond to payer inquiries regarding billing and collections activity
+ Maintain detailed tracking of billing issues, resolutions, and follow-up efforts
+ Resolve customer inquiries and billing concerns with professionalism and urgency
+ Ensure compliance with billing procedures, payer requirements, and documentation standards QualificationsRequired
+ Minimum of 1 year of provider-side medical billing experience
+ Experience working with commercial insurance payers, Medicare, and Medicaid
+ Experience managing claim rejections and denials through clearinghouse systems such as Availity, Waystar, or similar platforms
+ Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
+ Medical Billing and Coding certification
+ Healthcare revenue cycle or accounts receivable experience

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
