Job Description
Overview We are looking for a full or part time employee to assist with medical billing at our office. This involves sending claims for exams and procedures to a variety of insurance carriers, and following up with these carriers if claims are denied. Many of the skills required can be taught to you by our team but prior experience will be valued highly. Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims working closely with insurance carriers to resolve discrepancies. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to service delivery to streamline billing processes. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim status updates, and correspondence related to medical billing inquiries. Qualifications Experience in medical billing preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
