Job Description

System Support & Troubleshooting Provides day-to-day support via telephone, email, and in-person visits to MRES Members for utility billing, financials, and payroll software platforms. Investigates, diagnoses, and resolves issues related to utility billing, financials, and payroll, responding to user inquiries in a timely manner. Escalates complex technical issues to vendor support and development teams as needed. Builds strong, value-driven relationships with Members to ensure their satisfaction and success. Billing Operations Support Supports Members to ensure accurate billing cycles, invoice generation, and adjustments. Assists with billing corrections, credits, and adjustments. Translates complex concepts into clear, user-friendly guidance for Members. Maintains proper documentation of procedures and issue resolutions. . Financial and Payroll Support Assists Members with issues related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Assists with creating reports related to billing, financials, and payroll. Supports month-end and year-end billing processes. Knowledge Continually develops product expertise by reviewing new functionality User Training Provides remote training to Members via telephone and email. Provides on-site Member training as needed. Prepares training resources including presentations, documentation, and training curriculum for Members. Facilitates discussion at user groups and other Members meetings. Keep abreast of relevant profession, industry, and inter-utility developments in CIS technologies. Moderate travel to member locations and to conferences with occasional overnight stays. Represents MRES on industry, development, and project committees, task forces, and conferences as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education and/or Experience Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in energy or related field and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software; and Word Processing software. Familiarity with Tyler Technologies programs, especially InCode version 9 and 10 a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
