Job Overview •Experience with Tebra EMR preferred •We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately translating medical diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized codes, ensuring precise billing and reimbursement processes. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle management, improve patient record accuracy, and support efficient healthcare delivery. ICD-10, CPT
(Current Procedural Terminology), and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes based on documented diagnoses and procedures Ensure all billing submissions comply with insurance requirements and coding guidelines Verify the accuracy of coded data to facilitate correct billing and reimbursement from insurance companies and patients Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims to maximize revenue recovery Utilize Tebra Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, update, and maintain accurate patient information Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or coding discrepancies for precise billing Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret clinical documentation Proficiency inICD-10, CPT
coding systems, including understanding of DRG classifications Experience with medical billing processes and medical collection procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for managing patient records and billing data Ability to interpret medical records thoroughly and assign appropriate codes efficiently Excellent attention to detail to prevent coding errors that could impact reimbursement or compliance Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance representatives Join us as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist and be a key player in delivering seamless healthcare financial operations.
