DFW Open MRI is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time, onsite, Billing & Collection Specialist to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at our beautiful corporate office located in Dallas, Texas on Interstate 35E and Regal Row alongside a team of a dozen billing and collection staff. Job Responsibilities Responsible for Billing and Collection for a high-volume medical imaging and diagnostic facility Ensure bills get submitted in a timely and accurate manner, and claims are filed on CMS 1500
Posting of charges, payments, reductions, adjustments, charge-posting, and working accounts receivable up to collections Answering phone and initiating phone calls, writing emails, making notes and documentation on patient accounts Liaison with law firms to obtain status updates on case settlements and collections of outstanding bills Interact professionally with clients, patients, personal injury law firm staff, marketers, and internal teams to resolve billing and collection issues Work collaboratively with colleagues, team members, and management, and take on additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications & Experience High school diploma required. Associate degree or higher education preferred At least two years of related work experience in some combination is required Good understanding of billing, collection, and accounting practices, especially as it relates to healthcare and personal injury law is highly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal, customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills Attention to detail, accuracy, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism including compliance with HIPAA rules Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, desktop computer, and any billing related software Pay Rate:
$21.00 to $23.00 per hour This is a regular, full-time, onsite, hourly position, with a guaranteed 40-hour work week, paid on a semi-monthly basis. After the probationary period of 90 days, employees are eligible to potentially earn a monthly bonus pay if the company's operational performance and financial goals are met.
