Medical Billing Specialist / Receptionist Join our healthcare team and play a key role in delivering efficient and accurate administrative support. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support both front desk operations and medical billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage front desk check-out procedures, including patient interactions and scheduling support Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries in a professional manner Collect and process patient payments accurately Verify patient insurance coverage and demographic information Maintain and organize medical records in compliance with regulations Follow up on unpaid or denied claims using effective collection strategies, working closely with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate and detailed records of billing activities, claim statuses, and patient accounts to ensure transparency and accountability Collaborate with medical office staff to update patient information and ensure all billing data aligns with medical records Stay current with industry regulations, coding updates, and compliance standards within the healthcare field Respond promptly and professionally to billing inquiries from patients, insurance providers, and internal departments Skills Strong knowledge of medical coding including

CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG

classifications, and ICD coding practices. Proficiency in Medical billing processes within EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with medical records management. Excellent understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards. Experience in medical collection procedures and resolving claim denials efficiently. Ability to navigate complex insurance policies and perform detailed claim audits to maximize reimbursements. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare teams. Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and coding assignments.
