This role sits at the intersection of accounting, client service, and legal operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable having direct (and sometimes difficult) conversations about money, and able to translate legal work descriptions into client-friendly language. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is organized, personable, and wants to grow in a professional services environment. We will train the right person on our case management system, billing workflows, and legal-billing conventions.

Compensation:

$18 - $22

Hourly Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, finalize, and send accurate client invoices on the firm's billing cycle (monthly and ad hoc) for hourly, flat-fee, contingency, and hybrid fee arrangements. Review attorney and staff time entries and expense entries for clarity, accuracy, completeness, proper task/activity coding, and compliance with each engagement's fee agreement. Edit and clean up time-entry narratives where appropriate so that descriptions are professional, descriptive, and easy for the client to understand — without changing the substance of the work recorded. Qualifications:

Prior exposure to a law firm, medical office, CPA firm, or other professional services environment. Experience with any legal case management or billing platform (Filevine, Clio, MyCase, PCLaw, Tabs3, Centerbase, TimeSolv, or similar) — we will train on our specific tools. Familiarity with basic accounting concepts (debits/credits, accounts receivable, trust/IOLTA accounting, retainers). Experience with collections, accounts receivable follow-up, or payment plan negotiation in any industry. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Ukrainian/Russian) All of the above are not required, but are preferred; the main qualifications are a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
