  • Full-time Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our Chester team! Pay range is $20
  • 25/hour based on experience.
Hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday. The Insurance Coordinator verifies and updates insurance information to patient accounts. This role also files claims, completes pretreatment estimates, and follows up with the insurance companies in a timely manner. Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to: Verify insurance and update patient account prior to the appointment Update insurance carrier notes and coverage tables Point of contact for patients and staff on insurance File all insurance claims daily Reconcile insurance claims to patient accounts Work with insurance companies on refunds File all pre-authorizations daily Follow up on pre-authorizations aged 30+ days Coordinate with doctor, hygiene, or specialist coordinator once pre-authorization is received Analyze insurance aged reports (except if that office has centralized insurance) Minimum Qualifications 3 or more years of dental office experience Competencies Analysis and Problem solving Ability to work independently Confidentiality Strong work ethic Attention to detail Teamwork Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
