Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join a finance team in Everett, Washington in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will support core billing and accounting activities while partnering closely with finance staff and contributing to process improvements as the team grows.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately to support daily and month-end accounting activity.
  • Maintain general ledger records and review transactions to help ensure financial data is complete and reliable.
  • Create, update, and analyze spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Assist with billing operations, account reconciliations, and related accounting tasks across the finance function.
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify practical solutions, and escalate questions promptly when clarification is needed.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • Collaborate with other accounting team members and provide support on special projects and evolving department needs.
  • Contribute to finance process changes, including support for potential future accounting software implementation efforts such as Sage evaluation or transition planning.
