The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in coding and data entry, and be proficient in communication. This role is crucial in facilitating medical claims as they pay, deny or reject, and it requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems. Duties Accurately process medical billing claims using appropriate coding systems including CPT and ICD-10. Review patient records to ensure all necessary information is included for billing purposes. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance standards. Handle medical collections by following up on unpaid claims. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in medical records or coding. Qualifications Experience in medical billing, coding, or related roles within a medical office setting is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology,. Familiarity with EMR (electronic medical records) systems is preferred. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
