Billing Specialist

Position Summary:

The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing and recording progress billings and change orders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate with project managers to produce timely and accurate monthly progress billings Understand the job billing requirements Utilize the appropriate forms and electronic systems to comply with the customer's billing requirements per contract Process change orders Properly bill retention Understand the close out document requirements Accurately post all transactions into the Accounting System Maintain project billing files Supervise interns as needed Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Two (2) years of experience involving billing Moderate understanding of computer data systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Four (4) years of accounting experience involving billing in the construction industry Advanced understanding of accounting and/or accounts receivable/billing systems
