Kennesaw, Georgia CoWorx Staffing Services is hiring a Repossession Administrator for our premier client, Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation, located in Kennesaw, GA. This position plays a critical role in managing the repossession and recovery process while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in collections, recovery operations, skip tracing, and repossession management preferably within the powersports, marine, automotive, or consumer finance industry.Responsibilities:
Assign repossession accounts and coordinate recovery activities with repossession vendors. Accurately appraise collateral and communicate with vendors to secure and track recovered assets. Manage impound notices, collateral locations, redemptions, and recovery status updates. Review and approve repossession fees and expenses while taking timely action to maximize recovery efforts. Utilize advanced skip tracing techniques to locate customers and identify new contact leads. Handle inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced call center environment regarding delinquent accounts. Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement options to cure delinquencies. Maintain accurate and thorough account documentation and activity records. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with repossession vendors, dealerships, and internal departments. Ensure all required repossession notices and correspondence, including Right to Cure notices, Notices of Intent to Sell, and Deficiency Letters, are documented and mailed within required timelines. Monitor repossession vendor performance through scorecards, reporting, and performance analysis. Prepare account documentation for legal action when necessary. Ensure cancellation of add-on products such as Service Contracts, Extended Warranties, GAP coverage, and related products following repossession. Provide backup support for Collection Specialists, Remarketing Administrators, and Recovery Specialists. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management. Maintain compliance with all company policies and applicable state and federal regulations regarding consumer communications and collections practices.Desired Background/Skills:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. Minimum of 4 years of collections and repossession experience within the powersports, marine, automotive, or consumer finance industry. Advanced skip tracing experience. Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Service members Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Experience working with third-party repossession vendors and recovery networks.Other Information:
