Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is ideal for someone skilled in managing both commercial and consumer collections while ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures. Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the collection of outstanding balances for both commercial and consumer accounts.
• Ensure timely follow-up on overdue payments while maintaining clear and detail-oriented communication with customers.
• Implement effective strategies to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate billing collection efforts and streamline processes.
• Review and analyze credit and collection reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment agreements.
• Adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines related to credit and collections.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding collection performance.
• Assist in developing and refining collection strategies to optimize recovery rates. Requirements
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes and best practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights.
• Proficiency in managing billing collections and resolving payment issues.
• Familiarity with collection-related software and tools.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
