  • $65,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Research High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Welcome to Frontline Managed Services®
  • where innovation, technology, and efficiency converge to redefine the landscape of IT, Financial, and Administrative Managed Services for legal and professional service firms.
As pioneers in the industry, we are driven by a relentless commitment to excellence. Join Our Team and Be a Catalyst for Change! We don't just follow industry standards; we set them. Our dynamic environment thrives on pushing boundaries and embracing challenges. We are more than a workplace; we are a community of forward-thinkers dedicated to shaping the future. Position Overview We're looking for an AR Collections Specialist who does more than manage receivables — someone who owns their portfolio, builds relationships with attorneys and firm leadership, and knows how to move money while protecting what matters most: trust. In this role, you will carry primary responsibility for collections across an assigned portfolio of billing attorneys and their clients. You'll be the point person for resolving outstanding balances, navigating difficult conversations with composure, and escalating issues with context and a clear recommendation. What You'll Do Portfolio Ownership & Collections Own end-to-end collections activity for an assigned client portfolio, managing outreach, follow-up, and resolution with urgency and precision Maintain accurate, detailed records of all collection activity in the firm's AR Collections Software Prepare reports and analyses that keep leadership informed of portfolio performance, aging trends, and opportunities to accelerate cash flow Attorney & Stakeholder Partnership Facilitate regular meetings with billing attorneys and firm leadership — including CFOs and partners — to surface collection opportunities and recommend action Act as a strategic liaison between clients and attorneys, resolving balance disputes while preserving and strengthening the attorney-client relationship Communicate clearly and credibly with executive-level stakeholders; redirect difficult conversations with composure and professionalism Judgment & Escalation Identify when issues require escalation and proactively bring forward relevant context, client history, and a recommended course of action — not just the problem Anticipate risk across your portfolio; flag potential issues before they become critical Exercise sound independent judgment while knowing when to loop in leadership or legal counsel
Compensation:
Starting pay ranges from $55,000
  • $65,000 annually.
What You Bring 7+ years of combined experience in collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or accounting — with collections as a primary responsibility, not a secondary function of billing or cash applications Demonstrated experience managing a meaningful client portfolio (ideally 300+ accounts), with a clear system for prioritization, follow-up, and organization High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. Skills & Competencies Executive-level communication: concise, credible, and composed in written and verbal interactions with attorneys, partners, and firm leadership Strong critical thinking and research skills; you investigate before escalating and come forward with a point of view Proactive ownership mindset: you seek out work, complete onboarding and training independently, stay responsive in a remote environment, and don't wait to be asked Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across a large portfolio Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel and Outlook Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a law firm, legal services environment, or accounting firm strongly preferred Not Sure You Meet Every Requirement? We know that great candidates may not match every qualification listed. If you're excited about the role and believe you could be a strong fit, we encourage you to apply. We value potential and a growth mindset as much as experience. Join Us At Frontline Managed Services, we celebrate different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are committed to building a team that reflects the clients and communities we serve. "We are an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status."
