Biller/Collector

The Biller/Collector is responsible for ensuring all bills are submitted to payers timely and without error. The Biller/Collector is also responsible for timely follow up and collection of accounts. This includes; but is not limited to; monitoring and correcting Hold Bill and PreBill edits; as well as submission of late charges and corrected claims.

Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent Minimum Work Experience No previous experience Required Licenses/Certifications Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities Knowledge of medical practices; terminology; and reimbursement policies. Skill in planning; organizing; delegating; and supervising. Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures. Skill in problem solving. Skill in verbal and written communication. Ability to read; interpret and apply policies and procedures. Ability to set priorities among multiple requests. Ability to interact with patients; medical and administrative staff; and the public effectively.
