Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with leadership team, in-house counsel, sales and other departments to resolve issues and make informed decisions
  • Identifies and forecasts bad debt and communicate information to management for review and collaborate throughout the collection process
  • Collaborates with attorneys to initiate legal action, sign verifications and affidavits, and negotiate settlement agreements
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Assign Late stages account to third party collection agencies and monitor the progress. Conducts legal research to stay updated on debt collection laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Prepares, reviews & files UCCs according to the requirements of the Uniform Commercial Code
  • Collaborate with management to resolve disputes and escalated customer (internal/external) issues.
  • Lead special projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus; experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have experience managing with third party collections or working directly with attorneys
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong leadership with the ability to positively motivate, manage, and develop employees.
  • Ability to determine strategy for methods/practices that monitor and measure goals
  • Minimum of Seven years of collection experience required.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience with collections software preferred.
  • Outgoing personality.
