Job Title:
Data Entry Clerk Job Description This position seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support daily administrative operations at a Pell City location. You will accurately enter, update, and maintain data within internal systems while upholding high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality. This role suits someone who is organized, comfortable working with large volumes of data, and able to thrive in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company databases and internal systems. Review incoming and existing data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information. Identify and correct data discrepancies and verify information as needed to ensure data integrity. Maintain organized electronic and physical records to support efficient retrieval and reporting. Create and update spreadsheets and basic reports using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. Communicate with internal departments to validate data accuracy and resolve data-related questions. Follow company policies and procedures related to data security, privacy, and confidentiality. Assist with additional clerical and administrative tasks as assigned to support front office operations. Occasionally collect data from the manufacturing plant and enter it into appropriate systems. Essential Skills Proven data entry experience with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Strong typing skills and proficiency with computers and standard office software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, for spreadsheets and basic reports. High level of attention to detail when entering and reviewing data. Effective time management skills to handle large volumes of data and meet deadlines. Experience with record management for both electronic and physical files. Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and clarify data issues. Demonstrated reliability and consistency in attendance and task completion. Clerical skills, including filing, organizing records, and handling general office tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Customer service experience in an office or administrative environment. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to adapt to different internal systems and learn new software tools. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and data sources simultaneously. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment. Why Work Here? At times, you will enter the manufacturing plant to collect data and bring it back to the office for entry into internal systems. The environment is fast-paced and professional, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and adherence to data security and confidentiality policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pell City, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
