Job Description
DATA COLLECTOR
(Human Motion & Robotics Training) Training will be given to all the candidates Job Overview Step into the future of robotics as a Helix Creator/Data Operator —a hands‑on, high‑energy role where your movements teach humanoid robots how to move like humans . In this role, you'll suit up with a full‑body motion capture system and VR headset to control and train humanoid robots in real time. From fine motor hand‑eye coordination to full‑body actions like walking, running, jumping, lifting, and everyday human movements , you'll help generate the high‑quality motion data that powers next‑generation AI. This is an active, creative, and physical role ideal for people who love to move, stay engaged, and contribute directly to cutting‑edge technology. What You'll Do Wear a VR headset and motion capture suit to teach humanoid robots precise human movements and hand‑eye coordination Perform full‑body actions such as walking, lifting, reaching, running, jumping, and other real‑world daily activities Generate high‑quality motion data used to train AI and robotic models Actively observe, identify, and flag any bugs, errors, or motion irregularities during data capture Share daily feedback and insights with engineers and the broader robotics team Maintain a safe, organized, and professional lab environment while in motion‑based equipment Who You Are High‑energy, enthusiastic, and comfortable staying physically active throughout the day Excellent coordination, spatial awareness, and body control Focused and detail‑oriented, even during repetitive motion tasks Open to feedback and motivated by constant improvement Thrives in fast‑paced, experimental, and evolving environments Required Skills Strong basic computer skills Experience with data entry, testing, or production workflows Comfortable using Microsoft Office Ability to follow structured procedures while performing dynamic physical tasks Nice to Have Familiarity with electronics, robotics, or computer systems Interest in AI, robotics, motion capture, virtual reality, or human movement science Athletics, dance, fitness, performance, gaming, or similar movement‑heavy activities Why You'll Love Working Here Be part of an early‑stage AI and robotics startup shaping the future of general‑purpose humanoid robots Play a direct, visible role in teaching robots how to move like humans Work alongside a passionate, goal‑driven team of engineers and creators Enjoy opportunities for growth in an rapidly evolving field Competitive pay for a truly one‑of‑a‑kind role Work Environment Production lab setting surrounded by advanced robotics technology Hands‑on, movement‑focused work that requires focus, precision, and stamina Repetitive at times—but always purposeful, engaging, and impactful Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
