This role will primarily involve manually entering insurance remittance information into our electronic medical record (EMR) system. Responsibilities Accurately enter insurance payment and remittance information into the EMR Review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) documents Match payments, adjustments, and patient responsibility amounts to the appropriate claims Identify missing or inconsistent information and bring questions to the appropriate team member Maintain accuracy, organization, and confidentiality when handling protected health information Complete a high volume of data entry efficiently and consistently Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable performing repetitive, high-volume data entry Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn a new system quickly Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Familiarity with reading insurance EOBs or ERAs is strongly preferred Previous medical billing, insurance, healthcare administration, or EMR experience is a plus This is a temporary position intended to support a time-sensitive insurance payment reconciliation project. The ideal candidate will be able to work full-time hours and begin as soon as possible.
