TEMPORARY POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title:

Voter Services Call Center Support Specialist (Temporary) - need people to start ASAP and work through November 9th $22 per hour, full time over with overtime to be expected. Position Summary The Voter Services Call Center Support Specialist performs customer service and administrative support functions for the Broward County Supervisor of Elections during election operations. The position is responsible for responding to voter inquiries by telephone, researching voter information, providing election-related information, entering and maintaining data, and performing other duties assigned in support of election operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound telephone calls in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding voter registration, election dates, voting methods, vote-by-mail, polling locations, precinct information, and other election-related services.
  • Research voter records using agency systems and applications.
  • Enter, update, verify, and maintain information accurately in designated computer systems.
  • Document caller interactions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Voter Services Department.
  • Protect the confidentiality of voter information and comply with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow written procedures and instructions.
  • Perform other duties assigned in support of election operations. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
  • One (1) year of customer service, call center, administrative support, receptionist, or comparable public-facing experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based applications, and data entry systems.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with voters, candidates, elected officials, coworkers, and members of the public.
