Job Description
Job Overview TSG Construction is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to serve as a Construction Data Entry Clerk with front desk responsibilities. This position supports daily office operations by managing project data, maintaining the company's general schedule, and serving as the first point of contact for visitors and calls. The role also includes assisting with QuickBooks job costing. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of QuickBooks or similar systems and be willing to learn how to apply it within our construction environment. This is a structured, in-office position within a fast-paced construction setting. Key Responsibilities Greet visitors and manage front desk operations in a professional manner Answer and direct phone calls Enter and update job information in Excel and company systems Maintain daily reports and project tracking logs Maintain and update the company's general schedule (meetings, timelines, key activities) Ensure all relevant team members are notified of schedule updates and changes Assist with invoice and purchase order entry Support QuickBooks data entry and job cost tracking Accurately assign expenses and invoices to the correct jobs (with training) Organize and file permits, inspection records, and subcontractor documents Track certificates of insurance and compliance paperwork Maintain organized digital and physical job files Provide general administrative support as needed Qualifications Strong data entry skills and attention to detail Professional communication and front desk presence Basic knowledge of QuickBooks or similar software (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to manage and communicate a company-wide schedule accurately Willingness to learn job costing and company systems Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Construction office experience is a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing front desk responsibilities while supporting data entry, company scheduling, and basic job costing functions.
