Job Description

Overview:
A Data Entry Clerk's primary goal is to support our legal team by providing administrative support with all scanning of documents and data entry into Clio related to the same.
Reporting Relationship:
Data Entry Clerks perform their work under the direction of the Owner or other attorneys to whom he or she may be assigned. The Data Entry Clerk's employment relationship with the Firm is managed by the Business Manager.
Authority:
Data Entry Clerks work under the direction of the Business Manager or an attorney, and they exercise relatively little independent authority.
Responsibilities:
Scanning of documents, including, but not limited to: Client Physical Files when the case is closed Incoming Mail Outgoing Mail Add information about all scanned documents into Clio, the firm's case management system, per firm policy Make sure all outgoing faxes are transmitted successfully daily Add all court dates and other appointments onto the Clio calendar from documents received via the daily incoming mail Alert the paralegals of any calendaring conflict Open the physical file of all new clients in Clio and close when the case has officially been closed Print court documents for signature and scan back to the paralegal for transmission to court Maintain and order all office supplies under the direction of the Business Manager Education & Experience A Data Entry Clerk should have a high school diploma. A Data Entry Clerk should have prior experience in a law firm. File Clerk, Receptionist or Project Assistant experience is preferred.
