Job Description:
We are hiring a detail-oriented Book Processor & Data Entry Specialist to join our warehouse book processing team. You will be responsible for scanning, labeling, cataloging, packing and processing high volumes of books accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Speed and accuracy are critical in this role.
CONTRACT ROLE FOR 4-5 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL FOR FULL-TIME EXTENSION.
Responsibilities:
Scan books using barcode scanners and imaging equipment Enter and verify book data quickly and accurately into our system Label books without existing barcodes Organize books by PO into boxes Maintain a fast and consistent processing pace throughout the shift Keep workstation organized and follow established processing workflows Flag damaged or unreadable items and escalate as needed Meet daily processing quotas
Requirements:
Previous experience with barcode scanning, labeling or document scanning Fast and accurate 10 key typing/data entry skills (60+ WPM or 10,000+ KPH preferred) Comfortable working on a computer for extended periods Comfortable standing for full shift Strong attention to detail Must be able to stand for the full duration of an 8-hour shift in a warehouse setting Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly Reliable and able to work Monday through Friday morning shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in book processing, library systems, or e-commerce fulfillment Familiarity with inventory management software or listing platforms
