Job Description

Description The Eligibility Coordinator plays a key role in supporting individuals and families by determining eligibility for community assistance programs and financial aid services. This on-site position in Fort Wayne, IN is responsible for processing utility assistance applications, conducting client intake, and ensuring accurate and timely application review. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working with data across multiple systems. Key Responsibilities + Review and process utility assistance applications submitted by mail and walk-in clients. + Accurately enter applicant information into both state and internal databases using dual-monitor systems. + Verify and document personal, household, income, and utility information to determine program eligibility. + Complete and maintain electronic client records and required internal documentation. + Contact applicants by phone to obtain missing information or clarify application details. + Prepare and send eligibility determinations and final notifications to clients. + Collaborate with internal departments and community programs to ensure client needs are met effectively. + Participate in staff meetings and contribute feedback and process improvement ideas. Required Skills + Data entry with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail + Microsoft Office Suite + Application processing and document review + Strong typing and computer navigation skills + Effective verbal and written communication Preferred Qualifications + Experience using Microsoft Teams + Experience working with dual monitors or multiple databases + Previous customer service, administrative, or data entry experience Entry Level This on-site position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in administrative operations, client services, and program eligibility support while making a meaningful impact in the community. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
