The Hanscom AFB Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) is a primary prevention agency that connects military members and their families with resources and programs supporting readiness, resilience, and quality of life. The Center serves active duty personnel and their families, single Airmen, DoD civilians, and retirees through services such as information and referral, financial readiness, employment and transition assistance, relocation and deployment support, and family programs. Responsibilities Receive telephone calls, greet visitors, ascertain the nature of the call or visit, and direct clients to the appropriate M&FRC staff member, looking for opportunities to raise awareness of M&FRC programs and services. Schedule clients for M&FRC classes and provide complete and clear information that addresses most routine or procedural issues. Provide data entry into web-based systems, AFFIRST and Department of Defense (DOD) TAP systems; input all TAP data and resources in AFFIRST, to include but not limited to scheduling clients for Transition Assistance Program workshops, to include sending reminder emails one week prior to class start date unless a different timeline is directed by program managers. Ensure all clients completely sign in; generate a monthly client usage and data entry report in the format established by M&FRC management and provide it to the Chief of M&FRC and the COR not later than the fifth working day of the month. Safeguard all Government property provided for contractor use; secure Government facilities, equipment, and materials at the close of each work period in accordance with established procedures. Complete all essential or mandatory training (per Air Force Directives and Instructions or as directed by the M&FRC Chief). Experience Strong working knowledge and capability to operate data entry device(s) to input lists, records, or other data points into an electronic format. Strong working knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot web-based applications (Microsoft Edge/Chrome), MS Office Word, MS Office Excel, and other MS Office Suite products. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a customer support and business environment. Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a timely manner. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience. Minimum of 1 year Administrative Support experience. Possess the necessary identification for obtaining a Common Access Card, to include but not limited to a background check and fingerprinting. Pass an Information Assurance exam to gain access to the network and have a favorable Security background check. Provide at least three professional references. Customer service and communication skills required. A basic understanding of military protocol, support group organizations, and family systems in a military setting, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population is preferred.
