Job Description

Heart to Heart Home Care is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Entry Specialist to support our growing healthcare operations team. This position is responsible for accurately entering, reviewing, and maintaining patient and referral information while ensuring data integrity across multiple systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with technology, and enjoys maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Enter and update patient demographics, insurance information, referrals, and authorizations into company databases. Review documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry. Verify information by comparing source documents and resolving discrepancies. Maintain confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Organize and upload electronic documents into patient records. Generate reports and maintain spreadsheets for operational tracking. Collaborate with Intake, Eligibility, Scheduling, and Clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation. Perform quality assurance audits to maintain data accuracy. Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of data entry, administrative, or healthcare office experience preferred. Strong typing skills with exceptional accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Comfortable learning new software and web-based platforms. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or insurance verification. Experience handling confidential information. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
