- This is a seasonal, 10-week long position.
Philbrook Museum of Art is looking for a friendly, helpful individual to engage guests. The Data Collector will work within the Guest Operations department to conduct onsite surveys to gather data and feedback from Philbrook guests. This role supports studies focused on evaluation to measure visitor demographics, guest experience, and outcomes related to exhibitions, programs, and other museum initiatives. The primary method of data collection is intercept surveying, engaging guests directly during their visit. Findings from these studies is shared with staff, leadership, and the board to inform institutional decision-making and to help ensure Philbrook fulfills its mission to connect community through art and gardens. What You Will Do:
Guest Engagement Participate in training to learn the basics of evaluation and how to collect visitor data. In coordination with the Director of Guest Operations, develop a weekly schedule for surveying that will take place during public operating hours to meet monthly data collection goals. Set up the survey locations, equipment, and supplies. Maintain order and cleanliness of survey area. Actively approach Museum visitors and invite them to participate in a research survey. Follow the data collection protocol. Respond to questions to ensure a positive museum experience. Troubleshoot basic technical issues with survey equipment. Maintain prompt and reliable attendance to successfully perform duties of the job.

High School diploma or equivalent with combination of education, training, and experience At least 6 months of customer service experience; preferably in public facing position Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively navigate general questions from guests Comfort with technology, especially iPad/tablet Excellent verbal and conversation skills Ability to work independently Spanish-speaking preferred Weekly hours: 0-5 hours per week Preferred availability: Wed

- 9pm A mix of weekday and weekend hours required.
