Open-ended temporary assignment Position Overview An organization in the McMurray area is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support the processing of tax payments. This role involves handling a high volume of incoming mail, accurately entering payment information into the system, and maintaining strict attention to detail in a repetitive, process-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Open and sort incoming mail containing tax payments Accurately record payment details into the system (checks, remittance information, etc.) Verify amounts and ensure data is entered correctly Maintain organized records of processed payments Perform repetitive data entry tasks with speed and accuracy Follow established procedures for handling sensitive financial documents Support general clerical tasks as needed- Proven ability to perform data entry work with strong speed and accuracy.
- High attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in numeric and written information.
- Previous office, clerical, or administrative support experience preferred.
- Comfort working in a routine-driven setting that involves repetitive tasks throughout the day.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with data entry platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, remain focused, and manage time effectively in an on-site environment.
- Strong typing skills and confidence entering numeric data accurately.
