Job Title:
Data Entry Specialist Job Description The Data Entry Specialist supports a focused data clean-up project by accurately entering, validating, and updating contract and account information in internal systems. This role involves extensive data entry, light research, and careful review of existing agreements to ensure that records are complete, consistent, and reliable. The position requires strong attention to detail, solid documentation skills, and the ability to manage individual tasks and timelines effectively. Responsibilities Perform high-volume data entry using a keyboard and computer systems to verify and input information accurately. Read and interpret source documents such as transaction data, sales reports, bills, and contracts, and enter data into specified fields or systems. Look up agreement records in ReGIS, obtain coordinates and square footage details, and enter this information into Salesforce (SF). Update and align agreement names with the correct account names in Salesforce to maintain consistent records. Review existing contracts and validate account information, including specific account references, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Validate current annualized rental data and confirm that it matches contract and system records. Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entering it into the system. Locate and correct data entry errors, or promptly report discrepancies and issues to supervisors for resolution. Compare entered data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect and correct errors. Maintain clear and accurate logs of daily activities, data updates, and completed work for tracking and audit purposes. Accurately document and record customer and client information in line with established procedures. Manage individual workload and time effectively to meet deadlines and project milestones with minimal supervision. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders as needed to clarify data requirements and resolve data-related questions. Essential Skills 0-2 years of related experience in data entry, customer service, data analysis, or data management. Proficiency in using computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interpret source documents and document updates clearly. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct data inconsistencies and errors. Effective time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Ability to accurately document and record customer and client information following established standards. Solid documentation skills to ensure clear, organized, and traceable records. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with data entry devices, such as keyboards and scanners, in a professional setting. Familiarity with data verification processes, including comparing entered data with source documents. Experience with or exposure to systems such as ReGIS and Salesforce (SF) is beneficial. Ability to manage personal projects and tasks with minimal oversight while maintaining high accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members when resolving data issues. Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test may be required as part of the selection process. Work Environment This is an onsite role with a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position offers free employee parking at the work location. Interviews are conducted virtually. The work involves using computer-based systems and standard office software in a professional office environment. The role focuses on individual, task-driven work that requires sustained concentration and attention to detail in a quiet, structured setting, with standard office attire appropriate for a corporate environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
