full-time General Clerk I - Administrative Support Millington, TN (On-Site) Full-Time | Contract Position Contingent Upon Contract Award About the Role Coastal Management Solutions is seeking a General Clerk I to provide administrative support for Navy Personnel Command operations in Millington, Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in administrative support, records management, customer service, and federal government operations. Training will be provided on government systems, processes, and procedures. What You'll Do As a General Clerk I, you will: Enter, update, and maintain personnel and administrative data in government systems. Process personnel transactions, records requests, and administrative documentation. Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Scan, index, digitize, and electronically archive records. Perform quality control checks and resolve document discrepancies. Protect sensitive information and Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Respond to customer inquiries and assist with records retrieval. Maintain reports, logs, databases, and tracking systems. Support administrative workflows, shared mailboxes, and ticketing systems. Prepare reports, meeting notes, and other administrative documents. Assist with inventory tracking, records storage, and operational support. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with government personnel to support mission success. Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months to 1+ year of experience in administrative support, data entry, records management, document processing, customer service, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting military or federal government organizations. Experience with records management or document imaging. Familiarity with Point, Salesforce, or CRM systems. Knowledge of Privacy Act requirements and records management procedures.
