PS3 PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The District-Wide Migrant/NGS Data Entry Clerk is responsible for obtaining and processing all eligibility and identification forms for all migrant students in the school district. QUALIFICATIONS
TEA certification requirements High School Graduate or GED Have an understanding of the New Generation System (NGS) Be trained and certified by TEA/Region One ESC personnel on ID&R, COE, and NGS procedures annually Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish Driver's license and vehicle MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Serve as secondary reviewer of certificate of eligibility to ensure all required documentation is obtain accurately and recorded on NGS for all eligible migrant children from all campuses Enter and correct data from the COE Certificates of Eligibility in NGS New Generation System Make determinations when children can or cannot qualify for the migrant education program Know when a migrant activity is qualifying and non-qualifying on COE Make parent contacts as necessary to clarify information on COE Maintain family/children folders with relevant information consisting of their migratory history Maintain daily log of incoming data of COE's, enrollments, continued residency, withdrawals, health, STARR supplemental programs and errors Interpret eligibility related data on NGS Work with current/prior year COE files and ensure that all eligible enroll/non-enrollee children are identified in NGS Review STARR scores, Special Ed., Gifted/Talented, Graduates, GED, Supplemental Programs alternate numbers and ensure they are encoded in NGS Run NGS campus reports, Priority for Services, STARR, Special Ed., Max Enrollment Reports, Immunizations Reports, District Reports, Withdrawal Reports, Summer Reports and other reports requested by campus personnel Produce forms required to be submitted by campus clerks eligibility, confirmation, withdrawal, with-in district transfer, LEP, Gifted/Talented, Special Ed., STARR and teacher listings Work with all campuses to ensure that all students enrolled are reported on monthly counts Maintain weekly and monthly campus counts Assist NGS/Recruiters with system problems, input student data, run reports Conduct campus audits to ensure all information relevant to migrant students is maintained by campus clerk Maintain Binder for Monthly Meetings with all relevant information Prepare for monthly NGS and migrant recruiter meetings, memos, agendas, sign-in, handouts Prepare memos to Principals for Migrant Staff to attend ID&R and NGS Trainings Prepare ASB's for ID&R and NGS Trainings for office staff Plan, prepare and file information for the upcoming year Keep program coordinator informed about status of migrant students Keep records and count of active three-year old migrant students Maintain Binder for Building Bridges Program with all relevant information Work with Building Bridges parent meetings, memos, agenda, sign-in Maintain residency verification reports, unique count report, end of eligibility report, contact report and facility report Maintain Reviewer Log, COE'S reviewed, errors, corrections made Work with Parental Involvement and Special Funded staff Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
