Teladoc Job Summary:
The Rural Health Eligibility Specialist will assist individuals in Walton County completing applications to obtain needed benefits. The Specialist will possess a working knowledge of State and Federal systems to assist community members uploading applications to apply for: Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security Disability, TANF and assist with completion of SOAR applications all of which support health and continuity of care. The specialist will be required to be present to locations within Walton County to reduce barriers for persons served and provide public education on their services. This position will assist with benefit eligibility, application, and follow through. Assignments/tasks are expected to be executed with considerable independence and maintain compliance with established facility policies and procedures, contract requirements, organization bylaws, and federal and state regulations/laws.Role Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from college or university in a related field and two (2) years of experience in a Business Office, Eligibility, Administration, or Healthcare role. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintain Excel spreadsheet on cases and progress. Complete a weekly summary comprised of information on outreach activities and events. Must have the ability to work independently with good decision-making skills. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities. Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Must be extremely detail oriented with a high level of accuracy while demonstrating the ability to resist distractions. Position requires a friendly, confident and knowledgeable phone presence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos, emails and public speaking. The position requires proficient computer skills and must be able to use Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook to complete tasks. Experience in Behavioral Healthcare Service preferred. Understanding of insurance authorizations preferred. Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $17.50 - $18.75 an hour, salary is based on experience.To Apply:
