SOUTHCOAST HEALTH IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST FOR OUR IMAGING DEPARTMENT
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate clearly and speak concise. Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients, and patients' families. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of general medical office procedures. Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
Responsibilities:
Verify insurance policy benefits. Assure all insurance information has been obtained and documented. Educate patients and families on insurance issues. Communicates patient's fiscal responsibility in a professional manner. Answer telephones, screen calls and provide general information and questions regarding billing and cost. Performs/assist with other non-clinical duties. Job holder is expected to be at work on a regular and consistent basis.
Education/ Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of related experience required.
