This position is based in Chicago, ILinsupporting the Chicago RTA Eligibility.

Corporate Policy Key Responsibilities:
Supervises daily activities of Eligibility SpecialistSupervisors and assists with supervision of Eligibility Specialists and otheroffice personnel. Oversees scheduling of Eligibility Specialists, monitors operations and coordinates delivery of service with superiors. Works closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that all operation service requirements are met. Track, compile and analyze performance of Eligibility Specialist Supervisors and Eligibility Specialists; handle interdepartmental issues; resolve employee issues and grievances; improve processes and appointment scheduling. Makes hiring decisions for authorized roles; evaluates the work performance of staff; ensures the timely and efficient completion of all assigned tasks. Assists in accident/incident investigation, including any needed on-site assistance and support to safety and training personnel. Coordinates with the safety and training department to ensure all safety goals and directives are met. Other duties as required. Travel required outside of immediate area (15%)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Rehabilitation, Ancillary Health Care Profession, or a related field Willing to accept relevant experience and specialized certifications in lieu of a Bachelor's degree (Certifications can include:
COTA, OT, PT
) 3+ years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities Experience and knowledge with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and sensitivity to issues relating to people with disabilities and older adults. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant database programs Good written and oral communication skills Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details Ability to work effectively with labor; may include labor grievances and negotiations Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, orcrouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
