Job Description
We're looking for a detail‑driven Credentialing Specialist to support our provider onboarding and payer enrollment processes. This role ensures that healthcare providers are properly credentialed, contracted, and compliant with all regulatory and insurer requirements. You'll maintain accurate provider files, complete applications, and work closely with insurers and internal teams to keep everything moving smoothly. This position is open to entry‑level candidates with strong organizational skills as well as experienced credentialing professionals looking to grow. Key Responsibilities Manage provider onboarding from initial intake through full credentialing and enrollment Request, track, and follow up on payer contracts with insurers and health plans Complete and submit credentialing and re‑credentialing applications accurately and on time Verify provider information , including licenses, certifications, education, and work history Maintain up‑to‑date provider files and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards Communicate with insurers, payers, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely approvals Monitor credentialing deadlines , expirations, and compliance requirements Support audits and reporting related to credentialing and enrollment activities Qualifications Required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and follow‑up skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Proficiency with data entry and document management Comfort working with insurers, payers, or external partners Preferred Experience in healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, or medical administration Familiarity with CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, or payer portals Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and credentialing regulations What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Organized and proactive with follow‑ups Comfortable navigating insurer processes Able to spot inconsistencies in documentation Keeps providers and internal teams informed without being prompted Thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑heavy environment
