Starting Salary:

00 (Hourly) We are seeking a Youth Care Specialist to join our team. You will play a key role in a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive development of youth during and outside of regular business hours. You will collaborate with the Foster Care Case Management team, placement providers, law enforcement, and other community partners to implement effective safety and support strategies. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with 5 other team members and report to our Manager of Youth Care Specialists.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Demonstrate compassion for and a commitment to working with children and adolescents in the foster care system. Coordinate and ensure the safe transportation of youth to and from placements and other designated locations. Safely and reliably transport youth, their personal belongings, medications, and required documentation to designated locations such as visits, appointments, court, and other activities. Monitor, observe, and document client behavior and activities during transport, reporting concerns as required. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and agency information.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Our ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or GED is required. Two years of work experience working with youth is preferred. At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening. A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
