Job Summary Reviews, analyzes, assesses and processes information, records and transcripts for determination of academic credit and eligibility for degrees, and specialized program designations. Assists students and coordinates with departments throughout the application process on issues relating to application completion and submission. Essential Functions Evaluates transcripts to determine student eligibility in accordance with applicable University policies and standards. Processes academic applications, transfer credits, and student records utilizing pre-determined University guidelines. Communicates with students and educational stakeholders regarding academic programs and services, enrollment status, and requirements throughout the application process. Processes final actions on program recommendations for admission. Collaborates with program leaders on established guidelines for admissions exceptions. Identifies areas of inconsistency and facilitates resolutions with stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience:
60 hours of college coursework in business or related field Two (2) years of experience in general office, clerical, administrative support or related field. Every 30 hours of college coursework beyond 60 hours can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Balance technical admissions knowledge, cross-cultural communication, regulatory compliance, and student-focused service. Customer service skills which extend across cultures and personalities. Focus on details and consistent practices. Repetitive and routine working processes. Ability to deliver difficult information to persons involved if needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
