Job Description

Salary $46,596.00 - $77,015.00 Annually Location Essex, MD Job Type Full-Time Staff Job Number 2026-036 Division External Outreach Initiative Department Enrollment Services Center Opening Date 05/07/2026 Class Description The purpose of this position is to provide oversight for the student registration process. Minimum Requirements High School diploma/GED and five years full time or Associate's Degree and three years full time experience working in a Registrar's Office, Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts or a lead customer service position. Experience working in Higher Education required, preferably at a Community College. Knowledge and experience working with Student Information Systems, preferably Banner. Position to be based on either the Dundalk or Essex Campus.
Hours:
Mon/Tues 8:30-4:30 or 9-5 Wed/Thurs 8:30- 4:30 or 11-7 Friday 8:30-4:30 Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale .

May 21, 2026 Class Specific Essential Duties Oversee the registration process. Train temporary staff and work study students in the registration procedures and related registration activities. Create and maintain daily staff schedule for office staff. Problem solve, troubleshoot and address student concerns; research student and staff registration problems. Position Specific Essential Duties Work as the registration liaison: Resolve both credit and non-credit issues with Continuing Education and Credit students, in person and by email or phone. Disseminate this information to our Enrollment Services Center staff and coordinate rules and regulations between departments as they relate to registration protocol.
Oversee Parchment Send services:
Handle issues with vendor. Address student questions and issues in relation to transcripts and Parchment. Handle enrollment verification requests for all students. Utilize Element 451 as a customer relationship management (CRM) system to organize and complete daily tasks assigned. Assist with Legacy upload into Banner. Process batch registrations for credit and continuing education for special programs and assist with contract program entry. Scan and index processed documents. Provide back up coverage for Tier 2 phones, when needed. Assist with projects related to compliance, i.e. National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), legacy record updates, Student Information System notes related to registration processing, Fraud, etc. Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. Financial Term Life Insurance:

Supplemental Term Life Insurance is available for spouse (increments of $10,000 to a maximum of 50% of employee combined basic and supplemental amount) and dependents ($10,000). Supplemental Term Life Insurance is 100% employee paid.

Unum Permanent Whole Life Insurance with Optional Long Term Care rider available through Unum. Available to full-time employees, part-time associates, and adjunct faculty. Spouse and dependent coverage available. Permanent Whole Life Insurance accrues cash value, premiums will not increase, and coverage will not decrease. Accidental Death & Dismemberment:
The Hartford Individual or Family Coverage. Employee pays a rate in multiples of $10,000 to a maximum of $300,000. Long-Term Disability Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days of absence. Employee pays 100% of premium. Retirement Plans Maryland State Teacher's Pension System (7% contributory) Optional Retirement Plan (non-contributory) Baltimore County Employees' Retirement System (7% contributory) Supplemental (Retirement Annuities) 403(b) and 457(b) Tax-sheltered annuities - 403(b).
