Insurance Verification Associate - Full Time Milk Moms is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Insurance Verification Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, reviewing patient documentation, and helping ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work, problem-solving, and working in a healthcare environment. The Insurance Verification Associate serves as an important part of the patient experience by helping patients understand and utilize their insurance benefits for medically necessary products. Key Responsibilities Verify patient eligibility and benefits through insurance web portals and outbound calls to insurance companies. Process routine insurance verifications accurately and efficiently according to company procedures. Coordinate with patients, insurance companies, and team members to obtain information needed to complete orders. Create, maintain, and document patient files in an organized and accurate manner. Review patient documentation for completeness and identify missing information. Handle billing and clinical information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies. Escalate complex insurance scenarios, coverage issues, and eligibility questions to an Insurance Verification Specialist or supervisor. Maintain established productivity, attendance, and quality standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support company operations. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. Ability to maintain accuracy while handling repetitive tasks. Computer competency and the ability to learn new software and systems. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred but Not Required Previous customer service, healthcare, insurance, or administrative experience. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and compliance.
