Job Description

Admissions Specialist Office of Admissions and New Student Programs Full-Time Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate the admissibility of domestic and international admission applicants Evaluate domestic college transcripts Evaluate domestic high school transcripts to ensure applicants meet academic and core curriculum requirements of the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development and the University Collaborate and communicate with various offices across campus Create (import, export, manual entry) and maintain applicant data files in Element451 (CRM system), Ellucian Banner (ERP system), and Banner Document Management Manage application data in Axiom (data integration software) Complete regular data checks to ensure data processing and evaluation accuracy Generate and process admission decision letters Process daily incoming and outgoing admission operations mail (electronic and paper) Continually review applicants who are in a pending status for meeting admission requirements Place third party transcript orders for graduate applicants Assist with interpretation of admissions data and policies Counsel and provide customer service prospective students and their family members regarding admission policy and processes (via phone, email, Element451 and in person) High school diploma or GED Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Access Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff, and public Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Evidence of accuracy in recording data and attention to detail Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
